    OBS..

    Haha..Hi everyone..just came back from obs..i must thanks jocelyn in helping me doing my blog up while i still in camp..thanks bro..haha..okay anyway welcome to my blog..haha..

    OBS Day 1
    we meet in school in the morning by 7.30..i went there early waiting for others to come..damn sianz so i walk ard for fun..and at ard 7.20..everyone came and we are sort into our group..each group should have ard 16-17 ppl and out of this 4 is from our school..i was in group 9 wif chi sun, wei nee and hwee chang..we soon get on the bus and we are on our way to punggol jetty..we reach there in abt 35 mins time..when we get there, some schools came le..we follow them and reach our assembly area..some ppl from other schools actually bought sleeping bag sia..haha..after waiting for a long time, wif more ppl joining our group, we had an intro session and also assigning of instructor and group name into each group..my group is magellan, name of an explorer who is the first to circled the globe..In obs we call each group a watch, so mine is the magellan watch..my instructor is syed,a humorous indian guy..we done some admin,ice breaking games and setting of rules and objective of course..after a while, we went to the jetty, and board on the symphony of obs to obs camp 2..we reach camp 2, we pass all the ics, money, handphones etc to the instructors and we went to our watch store room to pack..we pack all our ponchos,tents and we headed for lunch..we also had our ration for the course and we headed to the height challenge area..we had a lesson on belaying and tent pitching..we soon pitch our tents up..we had an outdoor cooking lesson, we cook rice and wif can foods for dinner..we then packed our bags for the expeditions..had a fire drill session and we are off to sleep..

    OBS Day 2
    we wake up at 5,unpitch our tents, pack it in to our bags..we had morning exercise,and a sharing session..we then had our breakfast and weigh our bags..my bag is 15 kg sia..haha..anyway we put our bag on the safety boat, and we continue for kayaking lessons..we learn how to paddle all the directions and we went for the water confidence where we had to go in water and dive in for a while..then we had a capsize lesson, a try in capsizing, learn how to rescue and try out on rescuing, we kayak our way to camp 1..we kayak there , bring up our kayaks , had our lunch and washup..we went up the hill to our campsite in the forest,we pitch up our tents..went back to camp 2, done some rockclimbing and we had our dinner which the ppl in the camp cook for us..we then had a sharing lesson and a game..after a while, we went to our sea expedition briefing..we are to kayak our way from camp 2 to our campsite at kekek jetty..which is on the other side of ubin..we then choose our 4 sea ex leaders..hafidz is one of them, he is the navigator which is the front guy..we then had our supper..meeting wif the sea ex leaders, and we are off to campsite and sleep..

    OBS Day 3
    we wake up at 5, unpitch our tents, carry our bags and went to camp 2..had our breakfast at the canteen, last packing and preparation for the sea ex..we bring our stuff to the safety boat..had a briefing on the formation and etc..and then we get on to our kayak and we are off to the destination..after a while my kayak reach to the front beside fidz..jency was fidz kayak mate..she having a hard time kayaking so i change wif her..i was wif fidz..we had some breaks here and there..we then abt to reach the turning area which is chek jawa..suddenly it started to rain, rain very heavily..the sea was damn choppy and we chiong our way through..when we pass chek jawa..we stop for lunch break..so fun to be having lunch in the middle of the sea..haha..we also ate oranges and apples..then we continue wif the journey, we went past npcc campsite and finally we reach our destination..we place our kayak back in place, get our bags and we walk to our campsite near the quarry..we reach our campsite..we gather and we cheer for our success in the expedition..we then pitch up our tents and had our dinner..we then packed for tomomrrow land ex and went to sleep..

    OBS Day 4
    we had to do sentry duty as we had to keep out animals especially wild boars..so i wake up at 4.30 and done duty to 5 then i wake everyone up..we unpitch our tents,had a last pack and preparation, had breakfast..we then walk to the jetty gate..had a lesson on navigation..our first checkpoint is 4.4km away sia!!so we walk and walk wif our heavy bag..we rest every 1 km we walk..after we reach the checkpoint, we had a break wif a sharing session..our next destination is 1.5 km away so we walk wifout rest on the way to our checkpoint..we reach there had a break, have a sharing session and a game before we go to our next checkpoint which ios abt 5-6 km away..as we walk for abt 2 km..it started to rain damn heavily..we put on our ponchos and continue to walk..we then instead going to camp 2 as the weather was damn back..our camp is another 3-4 km away..we walk and walk..finally we reach camp 2, we put down our bags and our shoulders is like freaking sore and pain sia..we then admn high play wif water and stuff..we had our wash up and headed for dinner,this will be our last dinner together so we prepared all of our stuff..we ate while we were damn high..had a sharing session together and we pitch up our tent and we are off to sleep..

    OBS Day 5
    We wake up at 5, unpitch our tents , we then start to clear and clean our store a bit..we then had our breakfast and put on our life jacket and we proceed for jetty jump..we get some thing to grab in our hand which signifies our bad habits,when we jump in the water, we are suppose to let go our hand and like let go our bad habits..i was the first to jump..the water is like damn cold lar..haha..the wind was quite big so it is quite cold..we then proceed to thrust dive..the bell is our goal, we are suppose to dive to get our goal, i was the first to go while others was holding the sheet..after thrust dive, we continue wif our packing of the store..after finish, we go wash up, gather together for the last time..then we collect all our stuffs, get a cert and board boat back..went back to the assembly area to buy th obs shirt..and then was on my way home..

    This camp let me realise one thing, the only thing tat can stop me from achieving great things is myself..i had pass the land and sea ex, get myself wet and cold, hot and dirty but if i wan to do something, i will be abe to do it..this camp is fun and meaningful, will be an interesting chapter in my life..
